  During our senior design project I served as the project team lead as we designed and led usability tests for four models of Toshiba’s All-In-One Point of Sale Systems. Our project tested the systems’ screen usability, physical adjustability, and aesthetics with a diverse cohort of participants. We also collected the force used to touch the screen in order to provide more accurate testing metrics for Toshiba as they design and upgrade new models.   Over the summer I had the opportunity of working as a student intern for the Human-Integration Department of NAVSEA. It was an honor to work on projects that would help improve equipment, weapons, and systems on surface warships that our sailors use to defend our country. I am thankful for the opportunity to work under Anita Kirkland, Chelsey Lawson, and Sherry Springs, who were fantastic mentors and helped me learn the ins and outs of being an engineer to support the US Navy.
