Katie was one of my best mentors early in my career. She provided advice appropriately. I felt that I always had been respected by her. Thank you so much.

Amy Bird

Katie is an outstanding engagement professional and talented in so many areas. I worked with her directly in a community team in local government and I found her to be an incredibly supportive team member who nurtures her relationships and collaborates extremely well. She already had so many skills and insight when we first starting working together, but I was so impressed to see how she rose to any challenge presented, learned quickly, and developed the skills and knowledge required. In the projects she worked on, I saw her bring a unique set of gifts - of creativity, emotional insight and compassion, qualities - of hard work and high standards, and a passion for learning and knowledge. I highly recommend Katie – I find it hard to specify the type of position as her breadth of ability means she would be such an outstanding candidate for so many roles!

Bang the Table’s Engagement Managers (EMs) are highly experienced community engagement specialists. The job is a fluid mix of mentoring, consulting, relationship management, training, issues management, and problem-solving. While EMs are supported by an online Helpdesk team and a range of other client services strategies, they are the primary point of contact for Bang the Table clients. EMs are therefore primarily responsible for ensuring that Bang the Table’s clients get great value out of using EngagementHQ; that they feel comfortable and competent as system administrators of EngagementHQ; and that they have every opportunity to implement highly effective online engagement strategies using EngagementHQ. In addition, EMs are responsible for educating the broader professional communications and community engagement sector about best-practice digital engagement. My role is as the Engagement Manager for NSW Local Government at this time.
