Responsibilities for this position include running the store in absence of higher management. Part of this responsibility involves supervising staff through delegating tasks and providing training, which has developed my leadership skills and teamwork abilities. I enjoyed being actively involved in merchandising and promotional changeovers, which were relevant to my chosen field. My role also requires working with customers to make them feel valued, demonstrated by mystery shop results of 98%. Show less

PR Intern

Jul 2015 - Sep 2015
My 8 week internship with Speed Communications was hugely insightful into the industry of Public Relations. Just from being in the office, it has been possible for me to understand how communication works between the agency and the clients as well as the relationships with various journalists and publications. It was interesting to learn about the sensitivity of client relationships and the process of how a PR idea begins, develops and circulates. I’m now able to understand the day-to-day experience of working in PR, including the fast pace of work and the variety of tasks there are to complete all with the aim of creating positive interactions surrounding the brands. This has helped me to develop my organisational skills as well as learning how to prioritise certain tasks, depending on deadlines and importance. Show less
