As the Annual Fund Manager, I focus on supporting TLC’s comprehensive individual giving program. I collaborate with the Advancement team and other staff to help TLC reach annual fundraising goals through the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of individual donors through a variety of outreach methods. I’m very excited to make new connections and foster ongoing relationships with our members and donors and partnering with them to further advance TLC’s important mission. Organized in 1948, The Durham Art Guild (DAG) is one of the oldest community visual arts organizations in North Carolina, and one of the five oldest in the nation. For over 70 years we have supported artists and advocated for the arts in our region. Our mission is to enrich and connect our communities by creating opportunities and providing leadership for current and future visual artists and art enthusiasts. Each year the Durham Art Guild produces:• Over 20 exhibitions across multiple public partnership venues showcasing over 300 regional artists.• Over 40 arts related events including receptions, lectures, community building gatherings and professional development workshops.• The Creative Mentorship Program, which pairs local high school students and professional artists in creative collaboration and exploration.• The Artist in Residence Program, which provides an area emerging artist with free studio space and grant money.• The Art@Work Program, which connects local artists to local businesses, further enhancing our local businesses’ identities and our creative economy. The Executive Director upholds the mission of the Durham Art Guild in collaboration with the Board of Directors by performing the following broad and essential duties: visioning and leadership, strategic planning and advancement, financial oversight (budgeting, cash flow, reporting), fundraising (individual and corporate giving, grant writing, programmatic and general campaigns, events), marketing (print and digital), staff management (2 part-time employees), membership management (350 members), volunteer and committee management (70 volunteers, 8 committees), DEIA advancement (ongoing prioritization, collaboration, accountability), exhibition facilitation (24 exhibits annually, 5 venues), program facilitation and outreach (4 main arts programs), community collaboration and arts advocacy. All responsibilities build upon the previous positions held at Durham Art Guild.
