Julia Farrah Tucker
I worked with Katie for several years as a National Anthem soloist and volunteer for numerous events for the American Diabetes Association. She was a pleasure to work with-her communication and outreach before, during, and after the events were excellent. Her strong planning, leadership, and communication skills made the events a huge success, and she nimbly moved from one task to another while executing her event responsibilities. She is organized, responsible, and committed. Katie's engaging personality makes her a wonderful representative for any organization. Based on her strong communication skills, outstanding work ethic, and solid leadership ability, Katie would be an asset to any organization that hires her.

There are so many great things to say about Katie. What is the character limit on these recommendations? Katie came to the ADA when I worked at our National Office so I wasn't there for her first several years. She was fresh out of college and in her first real job. By the time I worked as her supervisor's boss, I could see the beginnings of a strong leader, a consummate net worker, and an incredibly thoughtful team member. Always thinking creatively, driven by her passion for the cause, she frequently went above and beyond to get the work done. She pushed herself to improve regularly and it showed. She learned new tools and methodologies to grow in areas she needed improvement in and the results were always demonstrating that growth. She increased her skills around strategic planning and tightened her work processes which led to a very strong start for the fundraising program she was in charge of in 2020. On a personal note, Katie is a pleasure to work with. Funnier than she knows, self-effacing and always bringing levity to tense times, she has that ingrained leadership quality that leads me to believed she is destined for the C-Suite later in her career.
