The purpose of this project was to develop a cost analysis that identified whether it is cost effective to expand the satellite laboratory in El Centro by running more short hold time analyses, avoiding shipment to the main location in Riverside, CA. Through the duration of this project, I researched the benefits, risks, and potential challenges that may arise with the introduction of an increased workload in El Centro. The purpose of the project and cost analysis was be to identify if expanding the satellite lab’s in-house capabilities would save the company money on cost per analysis, therefore increasing their net profit. Upon completing research and building a cost analysis, I presented my findings to Executive Management.
