      Working in a shared service environment I handled my own case load of approx. 50 cases at any one time. These covered primarily new starters and leavers, collating references and co-ordinating start dates in line with the company induction. The leaver process involved all correspondence and holiday leave calculations, and the exit interviews. I also did the transactional input for the US office. Alongside my own case load, I also provided cover over the central mail box and calls, which lead me to be involved in all other HR transactions and queries, such as holidays/sickness, hierarchy and direct report issues, supporting the HR Managers, and appraisal co-ordination.

      At the Co-operative, this was a call centre environment, which was highly target driven, monitored by call volume, length, and customer feedback surveys. The calls covered all aspects of HR queries, from payroll queries, to sickness, and self-service system guidance. My role was to give top level guidance, direction around system use, and signposting to policies and other relevant teams where necessary. Using a case management system to log and detail queries, and update employee records via Fusion HR system.
