Perform analysis on juice and wine samples, and conduct various cellar trials, such as blending trials, fining trials, and cork selection trials. Complete data entry, using Excel and PC Blend, and generate user friendly displays of information for winery staff. Perform daily setup, calibration, and maintenance of lab equipment. Responsible for precision and accuracy of analysis. Maintain a rigorous sanitization/GMP program. Work with outside labs and vendors to routinely check cellar, bottling, and wine storage spaces for confirmation. Track and manage fermentations, and generate all following work orders for a healthy fermentation. Communicate with the cellar team when certain trigger points are reached. Operate, sanitize, and maintain the bottling line and labeler. Perform all necessary lab analysis and adjustments when bottling, including QC before, during and after. Coordinate and assist the cellar team to complete tasks/movements on a daily basis. Show less
