  Hi, my name is Kati Friesner and i’m finishing up my last three general education classes at Hocking College. I am going to be going into nursing classes and staring my Licensed Practical Nursing classes. I am interested in pursuing work in the health filed. I have developed skills by becoming a State Tested Nursing Assistant, and have done this line of work since 2013. I have worked in different health field settings including a hospital, a nursing home in the Alzheimer’s/dementia unit and now I am at an Assisted Living facility. I am taking classes to become a nurse, so thats a job I feel like I would be a good fit for. I show up when I am scheduled, I am on time, I don’t call off, I always have a positive attitude, I am always trying to move up in the company and improve on myself and willing to learn new things. In high school I was taking health classes to become a STNA and that brought me to discovering a job working with the elderly. I then got my STNA certificate and have been doing this line of work ever since. All of my entire family works in the health field in some way. I feel this is something I was meant to be doing with my career. I have received a note from the CEO of the Lancaster hospital stating that he has noticed my work and a family member I was taking care of came to him and told him how great the care was and how tentative I was being to my patients. I have had several family members come to me just to have a shoulder to cry on and give thanks for caring for their family member. A lot of times I am a shoulder to cry on, a listening ear, an educator, those are all great things to be with a title like a Nurse. Show less
