  I am an English as a Second Language teacher. I have worked with students from grades Pre-Kindergarten through 8. I have been responsible for primary language arts instruction, as well as, supplemental instruction. My focus is on successful language acquisition through listening, speaking, reading and writing. I also work to increase cultural awareness and citizenship in my students, while providing a secure and comfortable learning environment. My goal is to foster success in all my students. Show less

  I was an ESL teacher to adults learning English. Our lessons included instruction in the areas of listening, speaking, reading and writing. My focus was on language acquisition in a comfortable, non-threatening environment. Our lesson themes included activities to build confidence in social and work situations. My students also had opportunities to build cultural and citizenship skills. I was responsible for planning and implementing curriculum, as well as, progress monitoring of students.
