Working as a Volunteer Coordinator, I used the service year bringing the opportunities of Cub Scouting to an under-served at-risk group of youth in Cumberland's inner city. I sought out both episodic and long-term volunteers to support their growth as they integrated into an established neighborhood Pack. I also assisted with recruitment efforts in elementary schools and in seeking out new Charter Partners to establish new units in under-served areas of Allegany and Garrett Counties in Maryland. Senior Accounting Clerk

Oct 2007 - Feb 2011
Established positive relationships with internal customers and outside vendors while researching and resolving issues related to payment delivery. I participated in all AP functions from preparing and manually inputting invoices to running and trouble-shooting the processes to create payment files for electronic delivery and check printing to collecting and verifying the tax information needed to file IRS Forms 1099-MISC each year. Because I understood the entire process, communicate well and can break a complex idea into simple steps I often was assigned projects to modify a process to meet a special need for a specific department. Account Manager

Jul 1999 - Sep 2007
As Compliance Liaison (2006-2007) for the West Region, I participated in risk management activities for the department including developing controls, training staff, measuring results, pre-audit preparations and facilitating internal, external and regulatory audits. As an Account Manager (2001-2006), I had day-to-day responsibility for a group of accounts comprised primarily of 401(k) and pension funds. This included maintaining plan documents and files related to proper ERISA administration, over-seeing investment of funds deposited to and disbursements made from the trust and reviewing unit-based participant accounting. As an Administrative Assistant (1999-2001), I provided support for 2 Relationship Managers and a Sales Officer to include phone coverage, correspondence, filing, point-of-sale and participant education presentations, maintaining office supplies, scheduling appointments and travel and other duties.
