  I went into intercity Atlanta teaching the neighborhood children to get them ready to attend their first year of school. These were fours ans five year olds. We serrved them breakfast and lunch . I opened the world to reading stories, listening, following directions, and learning to know I loved each of them. I was one of the first white people they felt comfortable around. This was still a segrated school system in the early 60'S. We went on several trips to the zoo, watching the first Turner Stadium being built. We acted out stories and talked about what was on their minds that day during sharing time. I did this for two years. Show less
