A real privilege to be able to attend Kathryn's Resilience at Work workshop as part of the NCTIR team. Kathryn engages well with her audience and makes "resilience" easy to understand and provides useful tools that individuals can easily adopt to navigate change and uncertain times. Kathryn's book Resilience at work is a fantastic resource which I constantly pick up to access information for myself or others. I recommend Kathryn Jackson for any organisation/company to assist with building resilience.

What a privilege and great learning opportunity to work directly with Kathryn on a project. She has remarkable levels of positive energy, problem solving and seems to greet every challenge with not only open arms, but real solutions that work. Uplifting and a lot of fun to be around!

My most recent projects have included designing and implementing Leader as Coach programmes, supporting HR teams with creating wellbeing initiatives and one-to-one coaching for professionals in a variety of industries. My most recent book Resilience at Work (Routledge, 2018) continues to provide me with amazing opportunities, after being named as a Finalist in the Business Book Awards (UK) and the Australian Career Book of the Year. I regularly speak at conferences about my work, and write for national and international publications. In July 2020 I launched Let's Talk Resilience at Work, a series of six evidence based workshops that bring the science of wellbeing to life and The content from this book was also designed into an international wellbeing app, called Kite Support. My other book, Essential Questions to GROW Your Team; is an essential resource for leaders who coach and continues to be used around the world by leaders who are new to coaching. My more unusual Assignments;*Lead Coaching advisor at the NZ Institute of Wellbeing & Resilience. * One of five coaches selected from across New Zealand to support the Christchurch City Rebuild and my work continues in this industry supporting the Kaikoura rebuild.* Invited to work with the partners of Ernst & Young, Christchurch to build and deliver a focus on the People Agenda, including coaching and skills development for leaders.*Invited to launch and lead Professionelle in Christchurch - a networking group for professional women and executives in the city.* Interviewed for five segments on the Good Morning Show - 'Surviving Redundancy', 'Interview Success', 'CV Secrets', 'Women returning to work', 'Get Me A Job!'

I’m really proud of my workbook; Essential Questions to GROW Your Team. During my work as a full time coach, I noticed that although leaders and managers understood and embraced the idea of asking more questions and doing more listening in conversations at work, they were apprehensive about designing their own questions “in the moment” during those very conversations. As a result, I designed a suite of Conversation Guides to help them. The Guides are a “safe” way to practice coaching. Leaders and managers simply choose the conversation they want to practice, and highlight the questions they wanted to try out. This helps to keep them focused on using the world renowned GROW framework, and also gives them a place to start a more natural sounding coaching conversation.Other ways that the Conversation Guides have been used include: • Inviting the person being coached to choose the questions they want to be asked.• Self-reflection by using the Conversation Guides to consider own circumstances.• A start place for designing own coaching questions.• A coaching tool used by anybody at work to support more coaching-style conversations. The workbook began life as PDF resource to support my workshops but soon began to be used by companies outside those that I worked with. I was blown away when it became recommended reading on a number of “Manager as Coach” training programmes in Business Schools around the world.REVIEWS“A vital guide to coaching conversations at work to deliver great business results” Graham Alexander, founder of the Alexander Corporation, originator of the GROW model and author of SuperCoaching and Tales from the Top” “A brisk, no nonsense style eBook which will be truly helpful to people who want to coach their team”, Alison Hardingham – International Best Selling author of eight books, and Director of Business Psychology at Yellow Dog Consulting UK.

"By far the best handbook (about redundancy) I have come across...I recommend every generalist HR practitioner gets a copy for their work shelf as a guide to career counseling"; Employment Today"Jackson writes in a clear, easy to read style that informs without overloading. The book has a very practical focus - concentrating on 'coaching' readers step by step through their own redundancy and job change, rather than being a mere reference manual"; NZ Lawyer"A great guide for anybody who has lost their job or isn't sure what to do next"; The Johnson GroupThis workbook was designed to support people who have lost (or are losing) their job through redundancy and was Penguin Random House in 2009. It is currently being revised and will be available later in the year. (By the way I don't write children's books, I just happen to share the name of somebody who does which can get a bit confusing...even for my own publisher!)
