In addition to teaching I was responsible for prospective student interviews, educational counseling for students and parents of students, sales of English support materials.   Began working at the Algonac City Pool as a lifeguard at age 16 and and continued working there every season until I became the manager. I taught American Red Cross certified swimming lessons and coached Algonac team of the Blue Water Summer Swim Team Program I was responsible for advertising, recruiting, training swimmers, scheduling meets with other teams, creating team apparel, staffing and directing home swim meets. On top of regular lifeguard duties, was responsible for maintaining pool chemistry and facility equipment under the supervision of the Department of Public Works.
