Remain current on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and help clients understand the implications to their financial statements. Review client-prepared financial statements to ensure all necessary disclosures are appropriately included for filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Communicate and present audit results to the engagement executives and primary client contacts. Gain experience with unique accounting transactions including debt extinguishments, interest rate swap designation, system conversions, and discontinued operations treatment. Develop assurance staff and interns by communicating expectations, providing verbal and written feedback through the performance review process, and leading by example.
