This year's MUN Seminar is taking place under the auspices of Prof. Felix Addor. Together with Prof. Addor I am responible for the direction of this year's Seminar as well as for teaching the students basic negotiations skills. Being effective in negotiations is crucial in almost every profession. The negotiation process is a comprehensive strategy based on principles that can be learned, experienced and applied to resolve conflicts of interest in a sustainable way. In three course modules, participants are taught the most important elements for successfully leading negotiations. These course modules are designed to be practice-oriented and interactive. The course modules include negotiation theory and concepts as well as role-play exercises and case analyses. Participants are expected to prepare for these course modules (introductory reading) and to actively participate in the course. Show less
