Research for optimization of recycling and pre-treatment of organic waste in an urban context. And by doing this generating impact in different domains: environment, economic and social. The aim of the project was to deliver a proof of concept; a bioreactor for decentralized, high-rate pre-treatment of organic waste, that aims at mass and volume reduction at the point of collection. In addition to that, integrating usability of the system and design for sustainable behavior in relation to the future users.
