  It's great fun to be called "Grandma Kathy" from the youngsters! It's neat when they come up to tell you something special. It's an daily educational experience to be a good listener, being compassionate, patient, encouraging, director of attention, motivator, ego booster, and a jack of all trades with math, reading, cursive and artistic skills. I've been re-introduced to the 3rd & 5th grade math skills and the variety of techniques to help the kids learn the basics. It has been great fun to see the kids shine in musical programs and performances. They amazed me on their compassion and concern when I had lost my mom and had my thyroid surgery. They can be pretty incredible!!
