  I started with my younger cousins and then neighbor's kids. If someone asked me I took the job. Most of my experience is with boys ages 1 to 13. It is rare for me to watch a girl.   I worked with a self owned cleaning person with a total of two employees. One of those employees was me. We would occasionally get extra help depending on the job. It would then become my job to teach and supervise those temps. I was forced to quit because I tore my miniscus at work and had to have surgery to remove the massive amount of scar tissue just so I could bend my knee again. I still feel some numbness and slight pain when I kneel. My recovery and therapy made it practically impossible to return to work without possibly causing more or worse problems for myself. Despite that, I took that time from then until November 2013 to obtain my Bachelors and Masters degrees of Science in Psychology. Show less

  I cleaned my assigned area and help other when I was done. I was let go because I said that I was not comfortable driving a company vehicle in areas I did not know. They needed a driver as well as a cleaner. I could only do the cleaning so I became un-useful to them. It did not matter much to me because then I could concentrate on school better.   I worked my way up from a Daisy to Cadet selling cookies. The most I sold in one season was 450+. Apparently that was commendable. Then again, I lived on a military base where my dad pretty much knew everyone and my best friend's brother spread the word. My best customers were my dad's boss and my friend's brother's friends. It took me just a little time to figure that those teenagers bought so much from me is because they were potheads and stoners. All the bachelors and bachelorettes on base boss also bought from me. I participated in Girl Scout camp at Camp Cookieland in OK. We were also obligated to learn new skills to obtain badges; this would include voluteering, decorating different buildings on the base for Christmas and Hanukkah. Just being a good girl preparing to become a self-sufficient woman and productive citizen. Also, I was an honorary boy scout for the time my brother participated. I would attend the meetings, do the crafts, and played the princess trapped in a castle to be rescued. I would've preferred to be one of the knights. Show less
