As a woman of color raised in post-statehood Hawai’i, I bring a strong equity and power analysis and a holistic approach to implementing and operationalizing equity: By working with teams to build habits of rigorous reflection and clear communication, increase their comfort with discomfort, and commit to a culture of learning, growth, and accountability, I position them to work sustainably toward long-term systems change.My areas of passion and expertise include the following:• Leading reflective organizational development and strategic planning processes• Implementing and operationalizing diversity, equity, and inclusion in systems, policies, and practices• Building skills and capacity in leaders and teams to nurture and sustain equitable and inclusive organizational cultures • Developing collaborative, partnership- and community-based programming • Creating and activating values-based organizational narratives through storytelling and communicationsI prioritize working with clients who are committed to transforming dominant-culture systems into equitable and inclusive spaces where individuals and communities can build trust, repair harm, share power, and thrive. Current and recent clients include APANO, Pueblo Unido, SWACH, Youth Rights & Justice, the City of Portland Bureau of Human Resources, CASA of Oregon, Aldrich Advisors, Oregon Department of Education, Oregon Health Authority, Oregon Department of Energy, and Columbia Land Trust.I regularly collaborate with other BIPOC- and women-led consultancies that are also passionate about this systems-change work, including Esper House, MultiCultural Collaborative, Paula Manley Consulting, Radius ECD, Coraggio Group, and Capacity Building Partnerships.I am M/WBE and ESB certified in the state of Oregon.
