Katie is an extraordinary asset for any firm. She adds shareholder value in a number of areas: She brings strong knowledge of both European and US auction models and the idiosyncratic processes and logistics for the wine industry. She is very familiar with the full end to end operational process of an auction, including legal, compliance and policy requirements - A very comprehensive knowledge set. She demonstrated executive learning - went in a different direction and developed a complete mastery of the software development life cycle in three disparate businesses: Auction software (US and EU), Netsuite ERP, Retail/Ecommerce. Katie managed teams doing Preproject, Economics and budget, Define, Build, Test, Deploy, Operational handover. Often these teams had conflicting agendas. In managing each of these projects, Katie did a deep dive first and developed very detailed knowledge of the subject matter that likely continues to this day. Katie also did a strong job managing the software development program queue for the Zachys enterprise umbrella of 4 different businesses.. Katie is very strong in strategic partner and vendor management. She builds strong relationships and no nonsense execution planning with no nonsense meetings and tasks that all parties are held to, no matter what. Katie also has background in six sigma and builds everything with an efficiency angle. A very strong area for Katie is the linkage from vision to strategy to tactics. Given a vision, she is super diligent about ensuring that downstream strategy and tactics fit the strategy and yield clearly defined returns for shareholders. She is not only capable of running sections of a company but building whatever the nextgen of your company should be. I would also recommend, in addition to whatever her statutory job is, having Katie be part of an operational strategy decision making team at the enterprise level.
