Bio
Gabrielle Kaufman, LPCC, BC-DMT, NCC, PMH-C
I have worked alongside Kathleen in many capacities. As a leader of the art committee, she inspired other volunteers like myself to better our student's environments and provide creative learning outlets for the community. Kathleen has a vision for utilizing art to enable the social and emotional development of children and to create opportunities for communities to unite. Her skills as an artist, teacher and partner brought enthusiasm to every project and each member of the team felt a sense of empowerment and accomplishment when Kathleen was at the helm. Every opportunity I have to work with Kathleen provides an opportunity for me to grow both personally and professionally.

Art Educator - The Mural Project
-
Jan 2020 - May 2020
In the Spring of 2020 I designed, with Fairburn Ave Elementary, a pilot arts ed program called The Mural Project which engaged students in real world art process and application and produced three large murals that now beautify the newly painted campus. This Fall 2020 I am hoping to continue the work of renewing the school’s equity by conducting The Mural Project workshops with grades TK, K, 1, and 2. In addition to school beautification The Mural Project is an opportunity to bring over 50 extra hours of art enrichment education that is certain to enhance the learning environment at school.
