      Member of the EMR Leadership Team responsible for transitioning all clinical staff in a five hospital system to Cerner EMR. In addition, all emergency departments and primary care clinics are now fully electronic (CPOE and provider notes). Specific responsibilities included: 1. Selection and development of a team of five Clinical Informatics Specialists. A Specialist was identified for acute care, ED, ambulatory, women's health and surgical services and each is assigned to a hospital to support ongoing training, issue identification and resolution. 2. Recruitment, selection and development of 40 Subject Matter Experts (SME). Bedside nurses who provide part time assistance with design, testing, training and implementation support. 3. Analysis of work flow to document the anticipated impact of the EMR on clinical care delivery. The results of this analysis were incorporated in training. 4. Participation in design and testing for Cerner PowerChart CareNet,INet, Ambulatory, NHIQM, Bridge and Care Admin EMar with bar-coding 5. Training and clinical implementation support for 5000 clinical staff in accord with an 18 month project timeline without disruption of direct patient care.

      Responsibilites included: 1. Development and delivery of physician performance measurement systems with improvement tools for Health Care Plan, Univera and Excellus health plans. Performance improvement systems, tied to financial incentive programs, introduced “pay for performance” to two upstate New York communities. 2. Principal investigator for a Robert Wood Johnson “Rewarding Results” grant from Fall 2002 to Fall 2005. The million dollar, three year grant was used to implement a model practitioner performance improvement and “pay for performance” program in Rochester for replication across all Excellus regions in the state. The project produced improvements in acute and chronic care with an actuarial confirmed return on investment. 3. Consist delivery of the highest level health plan NCQA accreditation Commercial, Medicaid and Medicare with two perfect scores. Also annually delivered, audited HEDIS results in a timely, accurate manner with improvement. 4. Served as a member of the Board of Examiners for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Program (2007). Presently serving as a member of NCQA’s expert panels for HEDIS and efficiency measurement
