Kathi Lunardi is an extraordinary individual and professional. She is hardworking and conscientious with a unique set of skills. She has excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills, and an innate sense of how to use them for optimum effectiveness. She is able to bring diverse publics together no matter what age, gender, or ethnicity, interfacing flawlessly with all. Further, Ms. Lunardi’s organizational skills are unparalleled. Whether she’s arranging a one-on-one discussion or a 1,000-person banquet, every detail is thought of and executed to perfection. In my view, one of Ms. Lunardi’s greatest quality is her ability to adapt and lead, recognizing the importance of communication, creativity and collaboration in the process. She is a consummate professional and friend. Whatever she commits to – an event, a program, a friendship – she gives her all, going above and beyond again and again. I personally witnessed and benefited from this multiple times during the eight years I have known and worked with her as a volunteer, and later as her professional supervisor at the US-Asia Institute. At the US-Asia Institute, I was impressed by her commitment to, and unwavering support of, our mission, helping us to expand our programs and cement our reputation on Capitol Hill and among Asian diplomats. Even after she left the Institute, I always knew that I could count on Ms. Lunardi whenever needed. She was, and continues to be, a true inspiration to me and to our Board and staff. Kathi Lunardi is an amazing individual. She is extremely gracious, and immediately knows what to say and do to make one feel at home. Her family is very important to her, and her friendships span the generations. Through the years she has been very involved with the community—giving back is an integral part of her character. She is a source of boundless energy and commitment, with strong personal integrity. She has achieved much both professionally and personally and has only just begun to tap her potential.
