When looking at the wellness industry, my co-founder, Dr. Tiffany Ryan, and I noticed a gap in the market. While there were plenty of opportunities to receive 1-on-1 massages, meditation and yoga classes, there was no place to experience massage touch in a lavish, community setting, on a daily basis. We decided to change this, and that’s when Yomassage was created. As co-founder, my duties involve strategic planning, brand development, and coordinating partnerships. I also lead marketing, sales, and team management. Dr. Ryan and I have created online curriculums, in-person trainings, and led workshops for massage therapists and wellness professionals all over the country. As our growth continues, we’re always on the look-out for new and exciting partnerships. Most recently we’ve partnered with Four Seasons Lanai and trained their spa and fitness staff in the Yomassage modalities. We’ve been featured in Well + Good, American Spa Magazine, on the cover of Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, and more. The word is spreading and people can’t get enough of Yomassage. Studio PDX began as a small studio in Portland, Oregon. Through local partnerships, marketing, and sales initiatives, I built a loyal community. During my time at Studio PDX, I curated an innovative team of yoga teachers that brought something unique and different to each of their students. In August 2019, I sold Studio PDX to focus on Yomassage. Studio PDX began as a small studio in Portland, Oregon. One day as I was walking by an empty building in Portland, Oregon, I thought, “Wow, this would make a perfect yoga studio.” Over the next month, My Yoga Room was born. Throughout my time as owner, I served as both a manager and teacher. I led the marketing efforts, brand development, and coordinated social media campaigns. In 2018, I purchased another local studio to create Studio PDX and began my entrepreneurial pursuits in the wellness industry. Sharing my love of the Arabic language with students and leading them to success was a true joy. During this experience, I worked with 20 students and guided them through the fundamentals of Arabic and helped them become conversational in the language. I developed instructional plans, created assignments, and assessed student progress. To aid in creating this class, I stayed informed about changes and innovations within the field. This position showed me the power of helping others especially when it’s something you care deeply about. Passion inspires passion and I’m proud of the work I did by helping my students learn a new tool. Show less

As a student technician, I learned my love of marketing. This job gave me some of my first experiences in developing website copy and social media as I created profiles for university professors. During my time here, I collaborated with the director and helped them implement their vision for the new website. As a student technician, I learned my love of marketing.
