I published blog posts describing current projects, researched and visited construction sites of stormwater mitigation throughout Pittsburgh, and collaborated with the staff to propose new and innovative riverfront development projects. I was awarded competitive Villanova undergraduate research scholarship to evaluate a potential link between groundwater chemistry and human perception of fracking. For my study, I administered qualitative and quantitative surveys to residents and statistically compared survey responses to water chemistry results from groundwater samples. I presented a talk of my findings at the Geological Society of America Conference in Denver, CO in 2013. While conducting the research for my undergraduate research fellowship I also aided my professors both in the field and in the lab testing for stream water quality, performing soil analysis, managing data on excel and on file, and performing GIS analysis.
