Advisor. Coach. Affirmer. Katherine plays these vital roles in our mentor and mentee relationship. Coming from a different sector and without formal educational background, her knowledge and experience helped me undertake the creation of the position I hold. She actively listens and always offers support and guidance in my work-related projects and professional development. Her frequent encouraging comments and emails, mentioning little things she noticed I was doing well, empowered me to advance my professional growth. Katherine's reminder of the need for a healthy work-life is very valuable to me. It shows how she truly cares for my overall well-being.

Karen A.

I’ve volunteered with Katherine as a director on the Fraser Valley Estate Planning Council. Katherine is an absolute asset to the FVEPC team. She is very knowledgeable, detailed, and she is always the first one to step up when something needs to be done. Katherine’s strong leadership skills and ability to navigate through complicated problems and provide solutions in a short period of time is commendable. For example, Katherine spear headed organizing our 25th anniversary event where she went above and beyond by contacting previous alumni members, designing our newly branded thank you cards and promotional banner, developing the agenda and speaking notes for the event. Although she could not attend the event as she was out of province, Katherine took all the steps to ensure the event was a huge success. Katherine is also a team player who is always willing to help other individuals. Katherine’s personality, leadership skills, and hard work ethic is what made volunteering for me fun and enjoyable. The best part to working with Katherine was her kind heart and her ability to do everything with purpose which motivated others to follow.
