Jun 2020 - Sep 2020
During lockdown I was redeployed to the Economic Development Team. We were responsible for processing applications to the Discretionary Grant Fund which was aimed at Small Businesses who had not been eligible for any other Covid19 related support. My role involved reviewing documents submitted, verifying information provided including against public records and information held by the council, checking for fraud and contacting applicants. Following our eligibility guidelines and my review I made my recommendations as to whether or not a grant should be awarded and if so at which level.
