This position entailed producing video, multimedia and written stories on a daily basis with a minimum of two expert sources. I was required to be consistently up to date in the latest local and international news to pitch relevant and timely articles suitable for an online publication. I learned how to prioritize daily, weekly and even monthly tasks catering to each specific deadline. I conducted various interviews and produced weekly content for the online website. These writing submissions taught me how to sculpt story pitches that satisfy the interests of Canadian Living readers. I produced an article discussing the lack of women within higher paying creative decision making roles in the Canadian film industry. I researched and contacted relevant sources to gather information about women in the specific roles of director, producer and screenwriter.
