Animex International are a multi-disciplinary company who focus on mitigating the impacts of road and linear infrastructure on the natural world. My role focuses on the creation, implementation and management of wildlife connectivity and social projects in the Research and Development department of the business. Main responsibilities include: Leading "Rebuilding Bridges" - a project that focuses on turning current infrastructure along the south coast into greener, wildlife-friendly corridors to improve landscape connectivity whilst providing opportunities for social enterprise with local businesses. Working alongside Devon Wildlife Trust to deliver a feasibility study investigating how current infrastructure along main highways can be adapted and retrofitted with solutions to increase landscape connectivity (include desktop ecological research, data analysis, site assessments of infrastructure, stakeholder engagement and report writing).
