  As a results-driven, patient-focused leader, I have instituted many improvements in this 24-bed unit. I slashed RN turnover from 30% to 7.4% by implementing an effective staffing system, providing appropriate training, and driving employee engagement. I successfully prepared this unit for Jcaho and CARF surveys and saved $500K/year by aligning operations with CMS documentation compliance requirements. I assumed the Program Director role during a period of transition and managed the change, mitigating risks by driving compliance with regulatory standards (CMS, TJC, ODH, CARF, and HIPAA) and coordinating feedback across multidisciplinary teams to develop and deploy effective, best-evidence-based programs, policies, and procedures. I secured two-year, million-dollar grant used for development of diabetes care and education program as well as an in-house diabetes nurse educator program. Because of my proactive nature, I was afforded increased responsibilities for outpatient radiation oncology and neurology services, oversight of education department, and training of selected staff to take on leadership roles.
