Feb 2014 - Present
In my current role, I provide strategic leadership and advice to the senior management and lend my expertise in the areas of risk mitigation, legislative interpretation, and regulatory compliance enforcement as a key technical resource. I apply my extensive breadth of experience in claims handling in multiple fields, and remain responsible for claims review, coverage, adjustment, processing, and settlement for up to 180 claims at a time. My notable accomplishments are as follows: • Developed Auto Claims Triage System in the company that divided all claims into 4 major categories and assigned level-specific claims specialists to each category to ensure more efficient claims management, reduction in errors, and better workflow. • Recommended a complete overhaul of existing denial & form letters and led the project from initiation to completion. Rewrote, reviewed, and approved 80 form letter and denial letter templates; uploaded revised letters to the internal website. • Partnered with several cross-functional teams and business units on several projects, such as the Claims User Group in the IT department, Disaster Recovery Unit, and Claims Process Improvement Committee. • Developed an Auto 101 training program for new employees (and existing employees interested in cross-training in auto claims) consisting of a clear overview, succinct descriptions, and adequate explanations and examples. • Received 54 'Celebrate as One' Awards In the last year (given by peers, managers, and upper management) for going above & beyond, 46 ‘On the Spot’ and ‘High Five’ Awards, and 3 bronze awards for exceptional performance, and maintained a perfect file audit score for 36 consecutive months and counting.
