  Launched the inaugural Farmers Market at Kensington Metropark’s Farm Center from ground zero; and established the organizational system to run the program - all within a six-week time crunch upon hire. The essential duties consisted of planning, preparing, and operating the daily functions of the farmers market; including the development of professional relationships with vendors, consumers, community members, and groups/organizations; along with professional communications with Metropark department representatives, vendors, and patrons. Recruitment and registration of vendors; along with updating, preparing, and enforcing vendor applications, rules and policy were also essential. Other primary responsibilities included the creation and maintenance of necessary documentation, data spreadsheets, policy agreements, insurance information, and other required reports. The establishment of a consistent space to set-up and operate the farmers market, along with the set-up of the Metropark’s booth, tent, and display materials were also essential. Secondary duties included coordination with the Farm Supervisor to recruit volunteers; along with the implementation of potential cooking demonstrations, educational special guests, musical entertainment, and other cultural activities. Additional responsibilities included the performance as the Farm Office receptionist; communicating and assisting park patrons and vendors; and minor outdoor and indoor facility maintenance as needed.
