Katelyn is bold, strategic, and an amazing woman to work for. I throughly enjoyed learning from her; her organization and creative skills are second to none. As time went on, she became a mentor, an encourager, and the ultimate example of #ladyboss in my life. The RFI podcast has been a brainchild of Katelyn’s, and it’s been exciting to see it grow and forge it’s way in the podcast world, where others in the industry haven’t even dared to go. I am so grateful to have learned from Katelyn.

My husband and I launched Lincoln Performance & Sports Medicine September 4, 2019. A physical medicine practice, LPSM brings together the art and science of movement — leading rehab, coaching, functional medicine with data collection and analysis. Dr. Tyler truly believes that people can care for themselves when empowered with education and guided by leading rehab approaches. He listens to patients and works with them and other health care professionals to move them from in pain to out of pain and/or from feeling great to feeling phenomenal. The Rural Futures Institute at the University of Nebraska worked to empower rural communities across the country and around the world by convening, connecting and empowering rural leaders in the areas of technology, rural-urban collaboration and leadership development, specifically inclusion.I was proud to serve as a strategist and communications leader for the organization as I was completely bought into the mission. I truly believe that we were on the forefront of how to think about rural community development in a 21st century way. We understood that what had been done wouldn't work going forward. The pandemic proved that. With our focus on technology, specifically connectivity, we were ready to dive in with rural communities around the world. Our focus on inclusion was also extremely relevant in the narrative of the country in 2020. In this role, I accomplished the following.Within the first year I:• Built all administrative functions and work-flows needed for a professional communications department• Produced a brand guide (bit.ly/RFIGuide)• Launched a redesigned website• Presented on behalf of RFI• Started a RFI communications internship program (went on to have 16 interns)In total I earned:• 46% increase in total website users• 44% increase in new users• 38% increase in website sessions• 30% increase in web page-views• 3,500+ social media followers* nearly 10,000 unique downloads on the Rural Futures Podcast• Multiple regional media placements Show less
