      Overall Description: The Camp Director is generally responsible for the operations of all camp programming involving either clientele or rental groups and for the camp facility and its grounds, both the immediate area of program activities and those areas more distant which are regarded as agricultural, woodland, or natural and scientific. The Camp Director is a salaried position and the duties as described may not always be attainable in an eight hour work day. Flexibility and the willingness to stay until the job is done is a must. Responsibilities: -Design, oversee, manage, supervise and direct summer camp programs. This work is important and is evaluated by the Executive Director. Emergencies, hires and dismissals must be reported to the Executive Director in a timely manner. -Interview, hire, supervise and evaluate summer staff and maintenance personnel. All hiring of persons other than summer staff are to be approved by the Board. All contracts must be approved by the Executive Director. -Construct and submit to the Executive Director and Finance Committee a budget for camp operations in a timely manner, and an amended budget each spring -Help prepare, coordinate and implement presentations with businesses, charitable organizations, and private individuals -Help with public relations events such as Telethon, Open House, Alumni Weekend, etc -Keep manuals of operations, staff orientation, materials and regulatory records current on behalf of the Executive Director -Develop and coordinate the volunteer program with the help of the Executive Director -Oversee maintenance of camp buildings, property, and equipment of the camp facility including all vehicles. This includes the authority to determine use of machinery at the camp facility. -Develop, maintain, and direct rental operations -Maintain the ACA standards of WBC, in cooperation with the Executive Director -Purchase such supplies and equipment as related to camp operations.
