LITTLE MIRACLES BLAXLAND – CHILDCARE WORKER AND COOKApril 2015 – CurrentThrough working at Little Miracles I have had the opportunity to plan and provide high quality nutritious meals in a safe and hygienic environment. I have developed relationships with the families supporting and catering for all children’s dietary and cultural requirements. As a cook I regularly order and maintain adequate supplies of food. My current duties are; providing children with a wide variety of nutritious foods, providing food for children with allergies and maintaining a clean and safe environment, while complying to all the centre’s safety policies and procedures. I started as a casual at Little Miracles and had the opportunity to become full time in October 2015. Through this experience I learnt how to provide and maintain a safe and healthy environment for children through organizing activities supporting physical, social and emotional development. I had the opportunity to observe, organize and participate in recreational activities. Duties included; Cleaning, changing nappies, greeting parents, comforting children and resolving conflict between the children.
