I am the first point of contact for new clients needing an intake. I complete their needed paperwork and build them a chart in the computer. I also triage the crisis walk in clients to see if I can help them by connecting them to community resources or an appointment with their ongoing provider, or if they need a higher level of intervention from a crisis clinician due to the client being a present danger to self or others. In addition to these duties, I help staff the call center when needed and man the 24 hour crisis line.

I have two amazing children, a boy and a girl, who are both 4 years old and the lights of my life! They are getting ready to head off to Kindergarten, so I am thinking about what the Lord might be leading me to as we enter this next phase of life, with the kids at school all day. I worked with children on the SED waiver (Severely Emotionally Disturbed) to provide them the best care possible. I worked closely with their therapists and attendant care workers to keep their treatment plans up to date and come up with goals and action steps they could use to complete goals and graduate from treatment. I usually had anywhere between 10-30 clients and saw each for at least an hour a week. I also helped run psychosocial groups in the summer, helping children learn life skills, employment skills, and social skills.
