Producer
-
Jan 2022 - Present
In April I produced the Open Stage show at The British Juggling Convention, a large-scale multi-day event with over 600 attendees. I worked closely with artists, stage managers and venue teams prior to, and during the event to create a cohesive show attended by over 400 people. This project ranged from liaising with multiple teams and acts to organising production meetings, technical rehearsals and distributing relevant documentation. Watching the show from the corner of the big top, seeing the months of work come to fruition was an incredible experience, affirming my decision to pursue a career in producing. As such, I have agreed to return to the role as producer for the Open Show in 2023, and have already begun preliminary work in preparing for the event later this year. Show less

During my role as the Student Engagement Assistant within the Residential Life Team I worked to prevents and solve student issues on a day to day basis. From this role I have gained skills including: the ability to think quickly to solve complex problems, strong written and verbal communication skills and data collection. I am also responsible for the scheduling, meetings, taking minutes and sending relevant follow up information when necessary. Through this role I also provide out of hour pastoral care to University of Chester students in severe mental health crisis. This involves being called out to complex situations such as self-harm, anxiety attacks and low mood, with minimal warning. These situations require high levels of interpersonal skills, communication, confidentiality and the ability to understand the needs of those involved. It has also given me the ability to work calmly under pressure and handle the unexpected with confidence. Show less
