  Key Task Managing the development and ongoing production of LightSleeper, a sleep aid designed by myself at university and launched in the consumer market in October 2009. Duties Include · Selecting sub contractors and negotiating terms of engagement. · Presenting brief to external suppliers. · Coordinating test rig production and organising proof of concept testing. · Managing prototype design, build and testing. · Developing detailed design specification. · Managing design for production. · Establishing supply chain. · Component sourcing from UK and Far East and ongoing liaison with suppliers. · Coordinating shipping of components. · Control and maintenance of Project Schedule and Project Costs. · Managing production of tools for injection moulding, tool modifications and production of parts. · Managing electronics suppliers and assembly process. · Coordination of UK production and ensuring optimum stock levels. · Ensuring successful CE marking of product. · Maintenance of Technical File · Successfully marketed the product to major retailers including Boots. · PR associated tasks including interviews with BBC Radio 2, national newspapers, national magazines and online publications.
