  -Developed new curriculum combining state and national standards with school’s core values to provide scope and sequence for all department grade levels 6-12.-Provided oversight and follow through for application of scope and sequence, teacher observations, and reflections for best teaching practices, by creating a new observation worksheet and regularly supervising and meeting with department faculty individually.-Spearheaded creation and implementation of school-wide ePortfolios using Google Sites for all 150+ students to support one-to-one program. Led tutorials to familiarize faculty with the concept and system, and supervised the process. These portfolios allowed students to digitally collect and build on their body of work over multi-year periods.

  -Taught 10th grade Modern World History, 7th grade Global Insights, and 6th grade Ancient World History. -Worked closely with local and global schools and organizations such as Bishop’s School in La Jolla, CA, Maui-Prep in Hawaii, and schools in Sierra Leone and Uganda to connect students through collaborative projects and global peace conferencing simulations.-Planned, coordinated, and led weeklong experiential learning trips with 40+ students to Washington DC, Zion and Grand Canyon National Parks, and the Boundary Waters.
