Kate was my 2IC at Panorama and could always be replied on to do what she said she would do, on time, on spec and within budget. She is a conscientious worker and thinks things through before making decisions. As a result, her planning and management of others are diligent and precise, yet compassionate and professional. She is an ace at admin and writes with care and precision without being a prima donna. I would recommend her without reserve for a position that requires a mature approach from a younger person to the challenges of the publishing industry.

The job is varied and stimulating. I help the team manage deadlines, handle HR and many admin functions, edit four titles, assist the sub-editors when their workload becomes overwhelming, attend funtions, travel for stories, and write for a couple of the magazines. I started my career the way most journalists do - writing. About trucks and the trucking industry. I covered functions, interviewed key players in the industry and other interesting characters, and wrote articles on industry-related topics. Pretty much ran the shop on the weekends - dealt with customers, rang up sales, took orders, cashed up at the end of the day. When I worked full time (for three months) I also recieved stocked and stocked shelves.
