    • Junior Volleyball Referee
      • Jan 2023 - Present

As a Carolina Region Junior Referee there are many jobs that I can fill while at a tournament reffing which include- First Referee, in this job I inspect the equipment before the game including the net, balls, antennas, and playing area. I conduct the coin toss and time the teams warmups before the match. During the game my duty is to watch and call faults that occur during play and reward the point to the rightful team. At times I sanction misconducts such as delay of games, unsportsmanlike actions, and wrongful actions from the coaches. After the game I check the score sheet and sign it to approve that it is done correctly. Second referee, in this position I am the assistant to the first referee. In this role I help the table with the score, book, and libero tracking. I time the teams timeouts, check their rotations, and monitor the net for any violations. Scorer, in this role I keep track of the teams scores, rotations, substitution, violations, captains, timeouts, and many more important aspects of the game. This role is important due to the fact that this is how tournaments report on games during the tournament, messing the score sheet up could mean a team gets wrongfully put in the wrong rank or bracket.
