      Founded the Heights District Neighborhood Coalition to bring together 7 neighborhoods to address issues regarding a proposed mixed-use development to be built adjacent to the neighborhoods.  Recruited a team of 57 volunteers to participate in 4 different committees that all advocated for neighborhoods' priorities regarding the proposed development.  Developed strong relationships with city leaders and was seen as a crucial stakeholder in the project.  Worked with City Planners and City Council members to successfully negotiate the following modifications to the development plans: o Protected 5 local churches from being rezoned, sold and converted to high-density mixed use. o Cooperatively developed a tiered parking ratio for high and mid density areas with sidewalks, and low density areas without sidewalks, which resulted in safer, more equitable neighborhood streets. o Achieved compatible maximum building height for land parcel located in a single-story neighborhood.  Organized community's 2021 Vancouver Mayoral and City Council Candidate Forum attended by more than 75 residents.  Strategically planned a written and verbal testimony campaign for the Planning Commission and City Council that received positive attention from city leaders.  Published an Op-Ed and countless Letters to the Editor in The Columbian newspaper to raise awareness on the impact of the new development.  Organized all community meeting invitations, agendas and necessary materials to effectively and efficiently present City Council and Planning Commission meeting summaries, interpretations and analyses.  Ensured proposed policies were in conformance with all adopted plans, documents and municipal codes by liaising with local Land Use attorneys revising proposed policies as necessary.
