Working predominantly with Social Housing providers to gain the most from existing systems and identify process and implementation improvements. Involved with various projects from GDPR-readiness to Housing Management System integration. Combining my specialism with Documotive 4 DMS and Documotive Agile solutions with an understanding of the data in the major housing management systems used widely in the sector, and SQL skills to provide the expertise to interrogate these systems and implement integration between products.

EDRM Product Owner
-
May 2015 - Aug 2017
As Product Owner, I led a small team of developers to rebuild the core business product - an Electronic Document Management System - on a new micro-services platform. The team adopted Agile and Scrum principles and artefacts, and I performed tasks associated with both Scrum Master and Product Owner roles. This included documenting epics, features and product backlog items, participating in daily stand-ups and sprint reviews, and leading retrospectives. In addition, I was responsible for the product roadmap, feature prioritisation and backlog management for my product, and collaborating with the other Product Owners to identify cross-product opportunities. The role also involved engaging customers for feedback and development input, product demonstration and user groups. The core software was completely re-engineered into service, gateway and application layers for maximum [software] client flexibility within 9 months. The system utilised both SQL and NoSQL data stores, microservices, Entity Framework and .NET technologies, and Azure cloud-based services.

At Documotive, I installed and configured DMS, Agile and P2P software systems on customers' Microsoft Windows domains. All systems required extensive use of SQL Server to create test data and integrate with 3rd party systems as part of the initialisation process. Deployment included providing advice and guidance to the customer's infrastructure team on the domain configuration required for successful deployment. This comprised DNS settings, SPN record creation, firewall settings and UPN configuration. My roles through the years have involved constructing SQL and Progress 4GL queries, basic programming and database skills and the creation of PowerShell scripts to implement features and integrate data between software systems. I am experienced at devising and delivering training sessions to system administrators and users, as well as writing System Specifications and Functional Requirements documents and managing projects.

Managed both a team of Officers and multiple projects to procure, implement and support business systems applications. My roles at Great Places Housing Group involved close collaboration with internal customers and external software providers, allowing me to develop an understanding of the issues facing the Social Housing sector. In addition to enhancing data manipulation, project management and SQL skills through direct application, I gained postgraduate qualifications in both Computing and Coaching and Mentoring during this period.
