Research projects: 2012 - 2018: PhD: - Title of thesis: "Automatic gesture recognition system supporting human-computer communication for people with cerebral palsy". - I proposed system which adapted general hand gesture models to user specific gestures made by persons with disabilities (gesture as a sequence of subunits modeled with Parallel Hidden Markov Models). - As a result I prepared demo-app which enabled to adapt my models to user specific hand gestures. After adaptation, user could use his/her gestures to interact with a computer. 2017: I was a biomedical engineering specialist in STRATEGMED project: “The use of modern telemedicine technologies in an innovative program of optimal cardiac rehabilitation in patients after myocardial revascularization RESTORE”. 2013 - 2016: as a Machine Learning Team Leader: - NCBiR project “Virtual sign language Translator” (WiTKOM), - I was responsible for algorithms, evaluation and automatic recognition of sign language gestures. With WiTKOM team we created dialog system which enabled Deaf person to make an appointment with doctor using sign language gestures. 2012: As a couthor of an accelerometric system of gait analysis - I presented it during SALMED International Fair of Medical Equipment and Instruments in Poznań. Teaching: I was coauthor of courses for students of Biomedical Engineering, IT, Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering: - Statistics and Probability Calculus, - Analysis of Measurement Data, - Analysis and Classification of Signals.
