I did my placement year at Pretty Clever Events. I worked up from an Event Intern to an Account Manager. This was the perfect placement for me as I got to put my skills to use. These included:- Putting together proposals for clients, eg venues, theming, team building and AV packages- Job Cost Sheet to help keep in the clients budget and to easily work out our commission/profit- Putting together contracts and schedule of services- Liaise with clients, attend site visits, meetings and tastings with them- Dealing with suppliers and venues in the run up to the event- Attending all events that i have put together, making sure everything runs smoothly and the client is happy- Follow up work after the event to make sure all the suppliers, venue and client are happy and the event was a success- Keeping on top of client database, venue database and suppliers database- Set up meetings with venues and suppliers to keep good communication and keep them as loyal customers

I helped out in the office in the run up to the event, these jobs involved:- Answering phones - dealing with suppliers, attendees and locals in the area- Organising VIP camping packages- Organising guest passes for locals, wakeboarders, artists- Setting up accommodation for artists - Looking into flights for wakeboards flying over from America or Australia- Organising AAA passes- Managing volunteers who were there for the weekendDuring the event I helped out in production and artist liaison- Helping production manager with any jobs that needed doing around the site- Making sure all the artists cabins were full of drinks, food and any other requests- Running back and forth to stages - Checking artists in at entrance, if they are late making sure they get through security fast and straight to stage
