As a data scientist at KMD, I was to the EcoKnow project (https://innovationsfonden.dk/da/presse/big-data-skal-faa-arbejdsloese-hurtigere-i-job) as well as starting up the new Center for Applied AI team. In the EcoKnow project the aim was to develop new IT solutions for job centers to help agents with suggestions for how they can best help citizens find employment by taking advantage of large amounts of data which already exists in the job centers' databases using machine learning technologies. During my time, we developed the infrastructure to handle such large-scale data oriented projects including - Setting up web services as REST APIs (Flask) - Organizing a professional team-based git workflow - Containerizing the web service and associated libraries (Docker) - Deploying on Azure and integrating with Azure-hosted databases, databricks, data factories with Docker and Kubernetes services - Setting up a CI/CD framework on Azure DevOps and Azure Show less

      • Oct 2016 - Oct 2017

As part of my research for the EU FP7 ARGENT project, I am working from QuantumWise in Copenhagen, DK, for 12 months. During my stay at QuantumWise, I have continued my research with molecular dynamics and meta dynamics. In addition, I have worked on two different teams and taken part in GUI programming and computational physics for plugins development for the Virtual NanoLab software written in Python. I learned to work in the SCRUM development framework with test-driven development and to use Git version control. In Jan. 2017, I prepared and presented a webinar with over 200 attendees on the theory of molecular dynamics with great feedback. Show less

    • Marie Curie Fellow, Early Stage Researcher
      • Sep 2014 - Oct 2016

Since September 2014 I have been a Marie Curie Fellow in the highly selective EU FP7 project "Advanced Radiotherapy Generated by Exploiting Nanoprocesses and Technologies" (ARGENT - www.itn-argent.eu ). ARGENT is a research network aiming to improve cancer therapy by using nanomedicine together with ion beam therapy. During the project, I have learned to work together with 12 other early stage researchers (ESRs) from 11 countries around the world and to communicate clearly with researchers from other fields. Coming from a background focused on nanoelectronics, I have had to learn a great deal about biochemistry and cancer biology during my work. My research for the ARGENT project concerns the structure of the coating used on nanoparticles intended for use as an enhancer of cancer therapy. The research is done with computational modeling (molecular dynamics) of different coating molecules and nanoparticles as well as the interaction between radiation (radiotherapy) and the coated nanoparticles. As a Marie Curie Fellow in an Initial Training Network (ITN), I have received extensive training through courses in radiochemistry, atomistic modeling, and cancer biology in the fall of 2014 at University of Paris-Sud (now University of Paris-Saclay), as well as the summer school "School on Science Management for Scientists and Engineers" (SoSMSE) on entrepreneurship, patents, and business in July 2015 at the University of Genoa. This project has received funding from the European Union FP7 ITN People 2013 programme for research under Grant Agreement No. 608163 Show less

As teaching assistant for two semesters in the course Physics 1, I was helping and teaching students in problem solving sessions as well as grading homework assignments. I have a great passion for conveying difficult topics related to physics and science in an understandable way. Seeing the students understand something they had difficulties with really drives my effort here, and I received high notes on the feedback at the end of both semesters. During my 12 months as a research assistant in the world leading group on atomistic modeling of nanoelectronics, lead by Professor Gerhard Klimeck, I modeled and described the interface between copper and silicon using molecular dynamics software (ReaxFF) and density functional theory software (ATK, QuantumWise) which formed the research for my master's thesis.
