I've had the great pleasure of having Kasi Balmforth on my team for the last three years. Kasi is a gifted administrator and operations pro, and I honestly don't know what we'd do without her. She is strategic and proactive in her approach, has an almost encyclopedic knowledge of WSU policies, procedures and processes, and is what we like to call our power user in Workday--she knows how to make that bad boy behave! Kasi is responsible for all personnel actions for the WSU Foundation and Alumni Association. She leads our communication efforts, developing, editing and curating content for the Foundation's LinkedIn page, the Talent Management intranet page, the Foundation website's people-focused pages and various Talent Management email communications. Kasi is a Coug, having earned her BA in Social Sciences with a focus on Human Development and Business Administration. She also has an Associate degree in Accounting, which has served her well, as Kasi is in charge of our team's finances, assisting in budget development, reconciling purchasing card statements, processing invoices, managing vendor relationships and, until recently, handling payroll for the Foundation. She is the team's primary project manager, monitoring project status and deadlines within Monday.com (our project tracking tool of choice), developing methods to make our operations more successful, as well as creating reports to tell the story of our people-centric activities. Kasi is easy to work with. She communicates well, is collegial with others, and is apparently psychic, because she has a habit of doing things before I even have the opportunity to ask her to take them on. I'm lucky to call Kasi my colleague and when it's time for her to move on, whoever is able to tempt her to their team will count themselves fortunate as well.
