In my time home from school, I frequently coached and judged for the Brooklyn Debate League, fulfilling my role first in a volunteer capacity, then as an employee. The BDL's mission is to offer affordable speech and debate experience to middle school and high school students in the New York Metropolitan Area and was featured in Humans of New York. Last year, I had the opportunity to work as an editorial intern for the Riverfront Times, a prominent alternative weekly newspaper in St. Louis, Missouri. I wrote primarily for the Arts and Culture section, covering new museum exhibitions, gallery openings, local authors, and more. In addition to my work in Arts & Culture, I gained experience in several other sections including News, Calendar, and Food & Drink. I have since returned as a freelance contributor.
