• Participate in the equipment specification for radiotherapy, radiotherapy simulation , radiation measurement equipment an immobilization devices. • Provide evidence of compliance of equipment for radiotherapy, simulation equipment and radiation detectors for regulatory and accreditation agency rules and recommendations. • • Perform acceptance testing, evaluation and commissioning of equipment used for external beam therapy, simulation, treatment planning system, record and verification software and software related to radiotherapy. • Develop and/or evaluation, in conjunction with the medical practitioner, polices and procedures related to the appropriate therapeutic use of radiation. • Develop procedures and follow establish procedures for use of QA equipment for QC, for dosimetry, for linear accelerator, for dedicated dosimetric scanner. • Develop, implement and document a comprehensive quality control program that monitors, evaluates and optimizes radiation oncology processes. • Direct the Radiation Oncology physics program to include technical direction to staff responsible for treatment planning, machine maintenance, repair and other physics support staff. • Provide institutional consultation on program development in radiation oncology. • Plan, submit to the bio medical department and follow up the preventive maintenance of the linear accelerator and the scanner of oncology deparment. • Sign the reports of any intervention and maintenance on radiotherapy dedicated scanner or linac prior to any resumption of treatment. • Perform all TPS based radiotherapy treatment planning in accordance with medical prescription. • Do the validation of dosimetry with the radiotherapist/Oncologist. • Perform the transfer and preparation of clinical patient file from preparation (TPS) to treatment (RV). • Do the validation of the final patient clinical treatment file. • Perform periodic quality assurance of radiotherapy treatment units & treatment planning systems.
